Bra Supplier Video Brief: What to Request Before You Film

By LXSC · Sourcing and product-development guides

LXSC sourcing guide: catalogue wholesale from 100 pieces per model; new-design development from 10,000 pieces
LXSC sourcing guide cover. It is not a product photograph, factory-process record or test result.

Useful supplier footage shows the actual product and helps the buyer explain it accurately. It should not rely on an unrelated garment, a vague factory montage or a claim that cannot be supported. Build the video request around a model code and a defined use of the footage.

Request footage matched to the model

Give the supplier the model code, colour and size you plan to discuss. Ask that the sample identifier be visible in a reference frame or provided with the files. Record the filming date and whether the garment is a current catalogue sample, proposed development or finished batch.

Do not treat footage of a similar-looking model as proof of the requested specification. If a video shows a production operation, identify which operation is shown and avoid implying that every catalogue item uses it.

Ask for shots that answer buying questions

A short shot list is more useful than asking for an attractive video. Request consistent lighting and clear views of the relevant components, with no distracting overlays concealing the details. The list below is a request template, not a promise that every asset is available.

State what a demonstration can and cannot show

A squeeze-and-release clip shows a response under the conditions filmed; it does not prove all-day support or wash durability. A stretch clip needs the material, method and limits stated if it will support a quantitative claim.

Keep sample inspection separate from the marketing edit. Do not hide a relevant limitation with a camera angle, substitute a different insert, or describe one wearer's result as universal. Ask for the specification or test record behind any claim that goes beyond visible construction.

Confirm usage rights and approved wording

Obtain written permission covering the intended channels, editing, duration and any people, music or third-party assets in the footage. A supplier sending a file does not automatically establish rights to every element. Do not publish another customer's branding or identifiable information without permission.

Keep the final clip connected to the correct model page, current specification and availability enquiry. Retain the approved wording and file version so later product changes can trigger a review. Then use actual engagement and completed orders to evaluate performance rather than promising that the footage will convert.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use any supplier video on my own channel?+

Confirm the usage rights and any restrictions, including people, music and third-party branding, before publishing.

Does a stretch video prove product durability?+

No. It documents that demonstration; durability claims need suitable evidence under defined conditions.

Send your model or project requirements, quantities, size and color plan, and destination. Julie can confirm the applicable order route and what the quotation includes.

Existing-style wholesale starts from 100 pieces per model. Original-design custom production starts from 10,000 pieces. Color and size allocation, branding and packaging terms are confirmed separately.
