Bra Shipment QC Checklist: Measurements, Workmanship and Packing

By LXSC · Sourcing and product-development guides

LXSC sourcing guide: catalogue wholesale from 100 pieces per model; new-design development from 10,000 pieces
LXSC sourcing guide cover. It is not a product photograph, factory-process record or test result.

A shipment inspection asks whether this batch matches the approved order. It is different from verifying a factory's identity or approving a design sample. Agree the reference, method, tolerances and defect decisions before inspecting; a checklist without acceptance criteria cannot establish a release decision.

Identify the approved reference and inspection plan

Record the purchase order, model, batch, size and colour allocation, sample version and specification date. Identify the inspector and the party authorized to release the shipment. Confirm which checks cover every unit and which use a documented sampling plan.

If an AQL-based plan is selected, agree the applicable standard and version, lot size, inspection level, defect categories and acceptance/rejection numbers with a competent inspector. A statement such as AQL 2.5 alone is not a complete inspection plan or a guarantee about the defective percentage in the shipment.

Record measurements and construction by model

Use the agreed measuring points, units, garment condition and tools. Record actual results rather than writing size okay. Inspect the features that exist on that model: cup symmetry, pads, seams, bonded edges, straps, sliders, hooks or other closures.

Do not invent one tolerance for every size and construction. Assign deviations to the agreed defect rule and photograph them with sample identifiers. Separate an observation from its disposition: a photograph of a defect does not, by itself, decide whether to accept the batch.

Check labels, quantities and carton records

Compare garment labels and packing artwork with the approved files and destination requirements. Reconcile counts by model, size and colour rather than only counting cartons. For barcodes, use the buyer-approved mapping and scanning procedure; a visually correct label can still refer to the wrong variant.

Record carton marks, packing configuration, dimensions and gross weight when required. Keep product damage from packing or compression separate from manufacturing defects so the corrective action addresses the real cause.

Record corrective action and the release decision

Summarize inspected quantities, deviations, photographs and the agreed disposition: accept, hold, rework or reject. Identify affected lots, corrective actions, reinspection requirements and the person approving release. A supplier's quality statement does not replace the batch record.

This is a general garment checklist, not proof of period-underwear absorption, leak resistance, nursing or pumping compatibility, sports support or a health benefit. Those claims require their own suitable model-specific evidence. Request LXSC's relevant process records rather than treating this template as a completed LXSC inspection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does passing a sample check eliminate the need for batch inspection?+

No. The sample defines the reference; the shipment still needs the agreed checks and release decision.

Is AQL 2.5 a complete inspection instruction?+

No. The lot, standard, inspection level, defect definitions and acceptance/rejection criteria also need to be agreed.

Can this checklist prove an absorbent or nursing product's function?+

No. General workmanship and quantity checks do not replace functional testing appropriate to that product and claim.

Send your model or project requirements, quantities, size and color plan, and destination. Julie can confirm the applicable order route and what the quotation includes.

Existing-style wholesale starts from 100 pieces per model. Original-design custom production starts from 10,000 pieces. Color and size allocation, branding and packaging terms are confirmed separately.
