Extended-Cup Bra Development: What to Verify Before Bulk
By LXSC · Sourcing and product-development guides

An extended-cup brief is a model-specific engineering and fit question. A larger band, an XXL label and a full-coverage cup do not establish the same thing. This guide does not claim that LXSC has a ready-made D–JJ range or that an untested cup extension is available at a stock-order minimum.
Define the target band and cup system
List each required band-and-cup combination and identify the sizing convention used by your brand. Provide the actual body-measurement guidance and garment measuring points. Do not infer cup equivalence from letters shared by different charts.
Describe the intended support, shape, neckline and adjustment range. Use measurements and an identified reference sample to explain problems such as gaping, pressure or insufficient coverage, rather than asking for an unspecified bigger cup.
Separate existing evidence from new development
Ask which requested combinations have a current pattern, physical sample and documented fit review. A printed chart is not proof that all its sizes have been made or approved. Record unavailable or untested combinations explicitly instead of allowing the largest claimed size to imply a complete range.
| Requested combination | Evidence required | Status to record |
|---|---|---|
| Representative size | Pattern reference and fit sample | Verified / revise / untested |
| Smaller-band boundary | Correct cup, adjustment and fit record | Verified / revise / untested |
| Larger-cup boundary | Construction and fit record | Verified / revise / untested |
| Other planned sizes | Grading review and agreed validation | Verified / revise / untested |
Review construction through fitting and washing
Document cup panels or moulding, wire if present, cradle, wings, band, straps and closure. Their combined behaviour matters more than one visible feature. A wider strap or additional hook is not, by itself, proof of support.
Use consenting adult fit participants and the agreed activities and duration. Record fit changes, pressure, movement and adjustment limits across the planned range. Repeat relevant measurements and checks after the agreed care procedure; do not turn one successful sample into a whole-range performance statement.
Approve a bounded range and commercial scope
Freeze the approved specification, sample version and validated combinations before bulk. Define what a material, wire, cup or grading change will trigger: a new review, new samples or additional testing. Keep unvalidated sizes out of a claim that the whole range is ready.
For LXSC, original-design custom production starts from 10,000 pieces, subject to feasibility and confirmed allocation. An enquiry is a request to assess capability, not a guarantee that the requested extended-cup design can be supplied.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does XXL prove that a bra fits a G or H cup?+
No. A letter-size label does not establish a specific band-and-cup fit. Request the actual chart and model-specific samples.
Can I order an entirely new extended-cup design at 100 pieces?+
LXSC original-design custom production starts from 10,000 pieces and requires feasibility review. The stock minimum must not be applied to a new unverified design.
Send your model or project requirements, quantities, size and color plan, and destination. Julie can confirm the applicable order route and what the quotation includes.
Existing-style wholesale starts from 100 pieces per model. Original-design custom production starts from 10,000 pieces. Color and size allocation, branding and packaging terms are confirmed separately.
